Woodwork/Drafting 8 (Applied Skills)
This course is part of the applied skills 8 rotation.
In the drafting portion students learn the basics of manual drafting including
orthographic, isometric, oblique and 1 & 2 point perspective. Students then
learn the basics of CAD (Computer Automated Drafting) and complete several
drawings on the computer.
In the woodworking section students will complete one project using only hand tools
and another project combining both hand and power tools. An emphasis on safety
and proper use of tools is a key component of the course.
